This scholarship fund was established by Marguerite Scott following the death of her husband, Barney. This fund provides scholarships to graduating seniors of Seymour High School who have received a varsity letter in any sport at Seymour High School and who will attend college in Indiana with a major in Education. Once the above criteria are met, financial need is to be the primary additional consideration.

A bequest under the Will of Ora E. Story for scholarships to graduating seniors of Seymour High School. The primary factor in awarding the scholarship grant shall be financial need even though a student’s grade point average may be less than others. Consideration should also be given to citizenship, character and participation in school activities, religious and other activities outside of school. The scholarship is renewable for four years.
